KLOKIĆ: BOOK FAIR SHOWCASES SRPSKA'S IDENTITY

BELGRADE, OCTOBER 26 /SRNA/ - Srpska's Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić said in Belgrade today that Republika Srpska's presentation at the 69th International Book Fair is an opportunity to showcase Srpska's literature and publishing, as well as its culture, tradition and everything that makes up its identity.

Klokić, who attended the press conference at which Republika Srpska's presentation at the Book Fair was formally unveiled, pointed out that this is one of the most important events of its kind in the region and in Europe.

He stressed that Srpska's presence at the Fair is extremely important, and thanked the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Serbia, which traditionally organizes the presentation of publishers from Srpska.

Republika Srpska's presentation at this year's Fair marks 65 years since Ivo Andrić was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature and is being held under the slogan "To Exist. To Carry Identity".

At this prestigious event, publications will be presented by the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Republika Srpska, the universities of Banja Luka and Istočno Sarajevo, the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Aids, the Museum of Republika Srpska, the National and University Library, the Writers' Association of Srpska, and other institutions, organizations and publishers.
