BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 4 /SRNA/ - The demolition of Serb-owned facilities at Gazivode, in North Kosovo and Metohija, continued in the afternoon at the request of the Albanian Ibar-Lepenac Company.
The demolition began this morning, and in the afternoon heavy machinery began demolishing the Đurić family home in the hamlet of Krasiće, between Kovači and Rezale.
Excavators are simultaneously demolishing several properties, heavy machinery continues to arrive, while the police of the self-declared Kosovo are still blocking the road leading to these locations, Kosovo Online reports.
In the village of Rezale, the Holy Trinity Hall, as well as several other buildings, have been demolished.
At the request of the Ibar-Lepenac Company, 17 properties owned by Serbs have so far been demolished at Lake Gazivode. The company claimed that they had been built on land owned by the company.
The properties were demolished unlawfully, without a court order, despite the fact that the owners of some of the properties had initiated legal proceedings against Faruk Mujka, CEO of the Ibar-Lepenac Company.
