CITIZENS PAY TRIBUTE TO CANOPY COLLAPSE VICTIMS WITH 16-MINUTE SILENCE

BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - A large number of citizens today paid tribute with a 16-minute silence to the 16 people killed when the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station collapsed on November 1, 2024.

The commemorative gathering near the Novi Sad Railway Station began at exactly 11:52 a.m., the time the canopy collapsed two years ago.

Large hearts bearing the names of the victims and toys have been placed on the protective fence separating the accident site from those attending, while citizens brought flowers and candles.

Fourteen people, including three children, were killed at the scene when the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station collapsed on November 1, 2024.

Three people were seriously injured, two of whom later succumbed to their injuries.
