The president of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the FBiH, Đorđe Radanović.

SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 3 /SRNA/ - The Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of BiH, Đorđe Radanović, told SRNA that they will check who is registered as the owner of every cemetery, chapel, and church, after the Cathedral Church of the Holy Mother of God in Zenica, which had been seized, was registered as the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Radanović emphasized that the church in Zenica is now officially fully owned by the Serbian Orthodox Church.

“The church in Zenica is proof that when we all stand together, we can achieve anything. Now we need to work on registering cemeteries, chapels, and churches in Ključ, Breza, Mostar, Bihać, Sarajevo, Gračanica, and Gradačac,” Radanović said.

He emphasized that the injustice done to the church in Zenica was corrected thanks to the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the institutions of Republika Srpska, the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, the Government of Serbia, and the Geoinformatics Association “Dekom.”

Radanović emphasized that no Serb cemetery, chapel, or church should be registered as the property of the “state,” the municipality, or the Federation of BiH.

The Committee has previously announced that the Cathedral Church of the Holy Mother of God in Zenica, along with the surrounding land, was registered as "state property" by a decision of the Zenica Municipal Court on May 16, 2019.
