SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 17 /SRNA/ – The Cantonal Court in Bihać has sentenced Mehmed Vukalić to 42 years in prison for a triple murder committed in Sanski Most.
Vukalić received 14 years for each of his victims, plus an additional year for illegal possession of a firearm, a sentence he has already served.
The verdict is a first-instance ruling and an appeal is possible, federal media report.
According to the indictment, Vukalić used an automatic rifle in August last year to kill Nijaz Halilović, the school principal; Nisveta Kljunić, the school secretary; and Gordana Midžan, an English teacher, inside the premises of the Sanski Most Grammar School.
