ĆOSIĆ: SARAJEVO'S HATRED OF SERBS IS PATHOLOGICAL

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 30 /SRNA/ - Istočno Sarajevo Mayor Ljubiša Ćosić told SRNA that paying tribute to Mušan Topalović Caco, the killer of Sarajevo Serbs at Kazani, reflects today's Sarajevo, for which Serb victims have never mattered.

"Science should look into political Sarajevo, and into the part of Sarajevo that supports things like this, because it is utterly pathological for someone to harbor such continuous hatred of Serbs and celebrate the man who killed Serb civilians more than 30 years ago," Ćosić said.

He said Bosniaks have replaced their role as victims with minimizing everything Serb, and that most of them identify with Mušan Topalović Caco.

"For them, Serb victims are just a number to be erased from their surroundings. They believe Orthodox Christians should not share the same space with them, and unfortunately they link that to their religion, Islam," Ćosić said.

The saddest thing, Ćosić pointed out, is that every year, with this and every similar act, they kill the Serb victims all over again.

Ćosić stressed that he would never celebrate any Serb who killed unarmed and innocent Bosniak, Croat or any other civilians.

"We honor our generals, our military leaders, who did not kill innocent people who could not defend themselves or protect their own lives," Ćosić said.

The Kazani pit on the slopes of Trebević above Sarajevo is one of the largest execution sites of Sarajevo Serbs, who were brutally killed and thrown into this natural crevice in 1992 and 1993.

The Serbs were killed by members of the 10th Mountain Brigade of the so-called Army of BiH, commanded by pre-war Sarajevo criminal Mušan Topalović, known as Caco.

More than a hundred bodies of murdered Serbs from Sarajevo are suspected to have been thrown into the pits on Trebević.

A few days ago, former members of the "Green Berets" paid tribute to Mušan Topalović Caco in Sarajevo.
