BELGRADE, APRIL 3 /SRNA/ - The director of the Eurasian Security Forum Mitar Kovač believes that the attack on secondary school students from Novi Sad in Sarajevo is the result of inciting rhetoric in that city, and that Republika Srpska, Serbia, and individuals should file lawsuits to bring the truth to light, ensuring that the attackers, as well as their political instigators, are held accountable.
Commenting on the information that one of the attackers on the Serbian secondary school students is a child of a diplomat, a close associate of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković, who invoked "diplomatic immunity," Kovač told SRNA that Konaković and similar politicians are the political instigators of this and similar incidents.
"Those who act as political instigators and seek to establish themselves as the dominant power throughout all of BiH, including Konaković and other Bosniak ministers, must be held accountable. Through their daily rhetoric, media hysteria, and constant references to alleged threats to BiH, they are inciting young people to engage in dishonorable acts," warned Kovač.
He pointed out that the atmosphere of hostility in Sarajevo toward everything Serbian did not arise overnight but has been created for decades.
"Young boys, kids, and students have been indoctrinated by the media narrative created by politicians who accuse Serbs and Croats of being some kind of threat to the survival of BiH," said Kovač.
He also pointed out that a message is constantly being sent from Sarajevo that those who do not love BiH should leave, "but only with the land they can carry on their shoes."
"They behave as if BiH is their property. In this sense, and for the sake of future generations, we must persist in defending the property of Republika Srpska; it should not be given away at any cost. Property is essential for the survival of Republika Srpska and the Serbian people in these areas," Kovač said.
A group of secondary school students from Novi Sad was brutally attacked on Friday, March 28, near the Youth Theatre in the center of Sarajevo.
The attack occurred when unknown individuals, armed with wooden and metal sticks, assaulted the students from Novi Sad, including girls.
The juvenile judge at the Municipal Court in Sarajevo imposed prohibition measures on three minors connected to the attack on the secondary school students from Novi Sad, but the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office did not request detention for them.
According to information obtained by SRNA, one of the attackers on the Novi Sad secondary school students in Sarajevo is the son of a diplomat, a very close associate of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković. During the questioning, he invoked "diplomatic immunity," claiming to have a diplomatic passport and that no one can touch him.
