BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – The Central Election Commission of BiH /CEC BiH/ has long ceased to be an authority for conducting elections and has become a political actor participating in the electoral process, SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated.
Dodik assessed that the CEC is not an independent body, but rather an extension of the SDS, PDP, SDA, SDP, NiP and other affiliated political groups.
"They have contaminated the electoral process to such an extent that they have reduced it to absurdity. They want to delegitimize the elections, but in reality they are delegitimizing themselves," Dodik emphasized.
He said that with today’s decision they humiliated voters, humiliated all citizens of Republika Srpska, and humiliated Republika Srpska itself.
"They have also humiliated institutions at the level of BiH. CEC wants to be the voter, the vote counter, and the candidate at the same time," the SNSD leader wrote in a post on X.
Dodik added that they represent a group with dangerous intentions, undermining the already fragile foundations of BiH.
"CEC is destroying BiH, while thinking it is destroying Republika Srpska. If CEC as such is not stopped, BiH will be led far astray. And then let no one point a finger and accuse Republika Srpska," Dodik said.
He also stated that /CEC member/ Vanja Prutina is an activist and lawyer for the SDS, driven by hatred toward Serbs and Republika Srpska.
"We will deal with that. You are truly `neutral` and `objective,` shame on you," Dodik concluded.
CEC today adopted a non-final decision to annul the early elections for President of Republika Srpska at 136 polling stations in 17 electoral units, and the decision is subject to appeal.
