BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 25 /SRNA/ – The leader of SNSD Milorad Dodik has stated today in Banja Luka that it is unbelievable that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH annulled the elections at polling stations where there was no election recount at all.

"Who do they think they are fooling? Only at three places in the entire Republika Srpska were there complaints on Election Day. It was not us who appointed the polling station boards, but them," Dodik told the press after a meeting of the ruling coalition party leaders in Republika Srpska.

Dodik repeated that the coalition has strengthened its unity and rejects all internal disagreements at lower levels of government.

"We are moving forward united. Every single member appointed by these parties will be responsible for being on the ground at these 136 polling stations, then we will meet to see who did the job and who didn't," emphasized Dodik.

Dodik stated that the CEC made a big mistake with this decision and that the truth will come out when the elections are finalized.

"There's a conspiracy at play. I can't believe that only at these polling stations and in these municipalities are there Serbs who are criminals and thieves, while those who vote for their candidate are not," Dodik said.

Dodik added that the opposition candidate has 200,000 votes, but that they can't get past that number.

"We know how our people vote. Many of them didn’t go to the polls because they can't bear that I was removed, some for personal reasons. But enough of them voted for us to win," Dodik emphasized.

Dodik called on citizens to turn out in large numbers to vote.

"I also call on their voters to go to the polls. I call for special monitoring of Election Day, and let’s put an end to this once and for all. It is impossible that all the reports in Zvornik, Doboj, Bratunac, and other places were signed by representatives of SDS and PDP, declaring everything as working fine, while now the CEC claims it’s not right. On what grounds?" Dodik asked.

He reminded that opposition representatives started talking about these polling stations on Election Night as soon as they saw they were seriously losing.

"We didn't say that the citizens of Banja Luka are thieves and criminals, even though we lost by a 14,000-vote difference. We respect their will," Dodik concluded.
