CHILDREN OF KOZARA TO PREMIERE IN BANJA LUKA ON OCTOBER 3

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 25 /SRNA/ - The premiere of Lordan Zafranović's film "Children of Kozara" about the suffering of Serb children and the Serb population from Kozara in the hell of Jasenovac and the crimes committed by the fascist Independent State of Croatia /NDH/, will be held in Banja Luka on October 3.

The premiere is scheduled for 17:00 at the Borik Sports Hall, the Republika Srpska Ministry of Education and Culture announced.

The film tells the story of the suffering of the Serb population from Kozara during World War II, with a particular focus on the fate of children who were separated from their parents during the 1942 Kozara Offensive and deported to camps and other locations throughout the NDH.

Following its Belgrade premiere, scheduled for October 2, the film will be screened in Banja Luka the following day.

The information was first shared by President Milorad Dodik following his meeting with director Zafranović in Trebinje.

Dodik said that the film Children of Kozara deals with the profound, sacred, and painful subject of the suffering of Serb children and the Serb population from Kozara, stressing that it is not merely a film but also a debt owed to our ancestors, the innocent children who perished, and the truth that must never be allowed to fade into oblivion.
