EAS SARAJEVO, 19 MARCH /СРНА/ - Tonight, a concert featuring Russian violinist Inga Rodina and the dean of the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo, Maja Žuža, was held at the National Theatre of East Sarajevo, where they performed classical pieces for violin and piano.

The goal of the organization is to bring closer the audience and artists of the two nations.

The concert was also organized by the Russian Center for Science and Culture "Russian House" in Belgrade as part of a program to familiarize the Serbian public with Russian performing arts culture.

Rodina stated to reporters before the concert that it was her first time in the Republic of Srpska and that she was thrilled with the hospitality of the people, adding that the building of the National Theatre in East Sarajevo is modern and beautifully decorated, and that she is glad to be performing here.

"The concert repertoire is classical, but quite diverse." "She mentioned the compositions of Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Bartók," Rodina said.

She graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in the violin class of the honored artist of Russia, Professor Alexander Trostyansky.

Currently, he is an assistant intern at the Moscow Conservatory. He is a laureate and winner of many international competitions.

He plays on a Gvarneri violin replica created by Filip Žirardin in the ARTES workshop in Switzerland.

Žuža emphasized that the Music Academy has an exceptional collaboration with the Russian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through organizing joint concerts and participating in various events.

She added that she is proud of the opportunity to play with the Russian violinist.

"Certainly, it is a connection that has opened up new opportunities." "We discussed specific topics for future cooperation with representatives of the Russian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 'Russian House' from Belgrade, which will be very fruitful," Žuža added.

She mentioned that currently eight students from Russia are studying at the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo, in the solo singing program of the vocal-instrumental study course.

The advisor of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Serbia, Georgiy Engelhart, expressed gratitude to Rodina for coming to Serbia, and they also connected the trip to the Republic of Srpska.

"We hope there will be more similar events," added Engelhart.

The advisor for cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yuri Pichugin, thanked the organizers of the concert, as well as the violinist who had already performed in Banja Luka and presented herself to the audience in East Sarajevo tonight.

"I am glad that there is a true center of Russian musical culture in East Sarajevo, as the Music Academy is a unique educational institution in the region that promotes education in the Russian language across multiple musical disciplines," stated Pičugin.

He thanked the management of the National Theatre of East Sarajevo and announced a major music and stage event at this cultural institution in April, which is being organized in collaboration with the Music Academy, with the support of the Embassy of Russia in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Russian Center for Science and Culture.
