BIJELJINA, MAY 22 /SRNA/ - The House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly adopted 11 laws imposed by the High Representative on May 23, 2001.
The imposed legislation included laws on the flag, coat of arms, anthem, travel documents of BiH and the State Border Service.
Among the imposed laws were also those concerning standardization, metrology, the Institute for Standards, units of measurement, accreditation and the property of the BiH Employment Institute.
The High Representative in BiH and the Office of the High Representative were never granted authority to impose laws, remove officials or enact measures with legislative force.
Disputes over the harmfulness of the OHR’s existence and its illegitimate decisions, which critics say undermine the Dayton Peace Accords and the Constitution of BiH, continue to this day.
