BANJA LUKA, JULY 14 /SRNA/ – The Head of the Association of Republika Srpska Women Victims of War Božica Živković-Rajilić told SRNA that having the incidents such as the stoning of a bus carrying Serb children in Srebrenik still occurring thirty years after the war is unbelievable and that the authorities must immediately find those responsible.

Živković-Rajilić has asked what this incident is supposed to mean - whether roads in BiH are unsafe for Serbs, and how it is even possible for someone to throw a stone at a bus full of children.

"I'm sorry that the children had to endure such fear and that this situation happened. What do you think would happen if we set up barricades and stoned buses carrying Bosniak or Croat children? That's not normal, it provokes horror and disgust," Živković-Rajilić said.

She has added that BiH is not a country where normal life is possible, as incidents like this destroy coexistence and perpetuate hatred.

Živković-Rajilić stressed that the perpetrators must be found immediately and steps must be taken to prevent any future such incidents.

The bus, carrying children who are members of the Serb Cultural and Artistic Society from Krepšić near Brčko, was stoned during the night between Friday and Saturday in Tinja near Srebrenik. No children were injured in the incident, but material damage was caused to the bus.
