TERM "MORE FUNCTIONAL CONSTITUTION OF BiH" – TRAP SET BY UNITARISTS AND CIVIC STATE ACTIVISTS

FOČA, NOVEMBER 13 /SRNA/ – The functionality of the BiH Constitution depends on its respect, but unitarists and civic state activists from Sarajevo are the ones violating it, said Professor of Constitutional Law Siniša Karan.

Karan pointed out that the phrase “a more functional Constitution of BiH” is a trap set by unitarists and advocates of a civic state.

"Do you know what a civic state is? When you expel 150,000 Serbs from Sarajevo, that’s a civic state," Karan told reporters in Foča, commenting on the fact that the Academy of Sciences and Arts in Sarajevo and the University of Sarajevo are calling for "a more functional Constitution of BiH."

Karan emphasized that the only framework for the survival of BiH as a multiethnic state is that no one interferes with anyone else.

He added that Republika Srpska remains firmly cemented in the Dayton Peace Agreement to this day.
