SARAJEVO, AUGUST 10 /SRNA/ – Nikola Špirić, Deputy Chair of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, believes that everything officials of the so-called Troika from Sarajevo have said in recent days is leading BiH toward an uncertain future, stressing that every call for constitutional restructuring without Republika Srpska represents a political blow at BiH.

"From their perspective, BiH can be an ideal country only if Republika Srpska does not exist. This is why even minor associations are emerging that support constitutional changes under which the ten cantons would remain, while Republika Srpska would disappear. Every call for constitutional restructuring without Republika Srpska is doomed to fail and represents a political blow at BiH," Špirić told SRNA.

He believes that such proposals serve to further heat up the already poor political atmosphere and will primarily harm BiH, internal agreements, and the country’s future functioning.

"Those who, until just a few days ago, were calling for BiH’s European path to be accelerated and accusing representatives of Republika Srpska of alleged blockades have now resorted to war rhetoric. They are threatening with drones, arrests, and criminal charges, damaging diplomatic relations, making ethnic insults, and persecuting one of the constituent peoples, without whom this country cannot exist," Špirić said.

Špirić said that no election campaign can serve as an excuse for expressions of hatred toward Republika Srpska and Serbs.
