ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ – Elfeta Veseli, the monster woman, convicted of the murder of boy Slobodan Stojanović, has been granted prison leave privileges since September 2024, the Tuzla Penitentiary confirmed to SRNA.

"Elfeta Veseli had no previous criminal convictions, we have no information indicating that any new criminal proceedings are being conducted against her, she has not been subject to disciplinary measures during the serving of her prison sentence, she belongs to Classification Group A and is a member of the Council of Female Inmates, following the opinions received from the competent institutions, she met the requirements for being granted prison leave privileges," the Tuzla Penitentiary stated.

The prison said that Veseli first used these leave privileges on September 7 and 8, 2024, at her registered place of residence.

As stated, Veseli applied for prison leave privileges after serving three-fifths of her sentence, and following background checks by the competent police administration and the municipal social welfare authority, her request was approved.

"Since these privileges constitute a set of incentive measures aimed at building trust with inmates, mitigating the effects of deprivation, encouraging their active participation in rehabilitation programmes, and strengthening responsibility and self-confidence to prepare inmates for independent life, they were approved," the Tuzla Penitentiary said.

Elfeta Veseli was sentenced by the Court of BiH to ten years in prison for the brutal murder of boy Slobodan Stojanović. The Appellate Division of the same court later increased the sentence to 13 years' imprisonment for the war crime against the civilian population.

She has been in custody since September 2016, and her regular sentence is due to expire in 2029.

The news that Elfeta Veseli had been granted prison leave privileges provoked reactions from Republika Srpska’stop officials, as well as representatives of institutions and organisations stemmed from the Defensive-Patriotic War.

President Milorad Dodik previously stated that official Sarajevo's narrative about justice is cynical and deceptive toward Serbs, pointing to the Elfeta Veseli case, the monster woman and Serb children killer, who has been allowed to leave prison and walk freely in Ilidža.

"It is disgraceful that Elfeta Veseli, the murderer of twelve-year-old Slobodan Stojanović, is walking free today. It is an insult to the Serb victims, to little Slobodan, and to all of us," Dodik said.

He assessed that, by this, she is mocking all Serb victims, sending the message that the so-called judiciary in Sarajevo is ready to absolve those who kill Serb children while punishing any Serb who has acted against their programmes and plans.
