ŠAMAC, JULY 3 /SRNA/ - Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić said today that the truncated Constitutional Court of BiH has driven the final nail into the coffin of what is called the legal system of BiH.
Minić said that the decision of the truncated Constitutional Court represents the lowest point of law, morality, and profession.
"I looked at their decision. They refer to the article of the European Convention on Human Rights. There is no greater disgrace for all those sitting there; I think they have disgraced both themselves and their careers, and ultimately even their families," Minić said.
He added that it is absurd for them to invoke the protection of human rights while someone is changing the Criminal Code outside of proper procedures.
"The only thing they were supposed to do was protect the Constitution of BiH. We know how a law is adopted. In this case, the law was imposed by one man so that it would serve exclusively as a political instrument," Minić said.
Minić recalled that, during the court proceedings against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, he had warned that injustice was taking place and that legal norms and the rule of law were being violated.
"However, we have now reached a Constitutional Court that is supposed to deal with this very issue explicitly. And you can see how it delivered its decision. This is a clear message to us. This is very bad for all citizens of BiH," Minić said.
According to him, this shows that there is no order, law, or rule here, but rather that there are people who have no shame in writing explanations and adopting such decisions.
"As I always say, we are not against anyone. We simply do not give up what is ours. We strengthen our institutions, we strengthen Republika Srpska. We want to be with the people, as we were the other day at the harvest, and today at the playground," Minić told reporters in Šamac.
Minić added that Republika Srpska must have a unified position regarding such decisions.
"And our main task is to develop Republika Srpska every day," he said.
