SARAJEVO, MAY 14 /SRNA/ – The Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Radovan Kovačević has said today in Sarajevo that SNSD is united and that Sarajevo is hoping in vain for divisions within the party.
Kovačević said that divisions within SNSD will never happen.
"I do not know why you are so hopeful that we in SNSD have opposing or different opinions. Give that up immediately, because it will never happen. We are completely united. I also said that the Law on Traffic Safety is a systemic law. I also said that we are waiting for the complete law and a new law", Kovačević stated.
According to him, this is not only the position of SNSD, but the position of all delegates in the House of Peoples.
"The only difference is that some adhere to that position consistently, while others do not. What is very important is that colleague /Sredoje/ Nović and I voted in the same way", Kovačević stressed.
He reiterated that the position is simple and that a new traffic law is needed.
"In this mandate, we have amended certain articles of that law seven or eight times. We believe that is not normal. We believe that the line ministry should do its job, draft a new law, and then we can discuss it", Kovačević said, emphasizing that the position of Republika Srpska institutions will be respected because delegates in the Parliamentary Assembly represent entity institutions.
Kovačević said he did not want to discuss gossip and alleged calls involving Vlado Đajić regarding the Law on Public Procurement.
"I absolutely cannot believe such nonsense. These are ordinary rumors. What I know is that a meeting was held at the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska attended by all directors of health institutions in BiH, from Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH, and they unanimously said that the law is not good. They have their arguments and know how they justified them. I was speaking here about some other matters", Kovačević explained.
He repeated that representatives of the Serb people in the joint institutions will never support anything that is not good for Republika Srpska, citing amendments to the Criminal Code, which, according to him, seek to transfer provisions already existing in the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska into the Criminal Code of BiH.
"In Republika Srpska, we never think that is good. It is very bad and is always used as a means not to pursue criminals, but to target Serbs and Republika Srpska", Kovačević pointed out.
According to him, numerous investigations against /SNSD leader/ Milorad Dodik demonstrate this, although no indictment was ever raised on those grounds.
"Then they filed an indictment when a foreigner who was never elected and never received any mandate violated the Constitution, took away our authority to pass laws, amended the law and said that anyone who does not obey his decisions would go to prison", Kovačević said.
