KOVAČEVIĆ: REFERENDUM IS A KEY MEANS OF DEFENDING REPUBLIKA SRPSKA!

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA/ – Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Radovan Kovačević emphasized that the referendum is a key means of defending Republika Srpska.

Kovačević pointed out that the scheduled referendum is the first opportunity, since the signing of the Dayton Agreement, for the Serb people and the citizens of Republika Srpska to clearly express their position on the imposed decisions of unelected foreigners.

"And that is why it is of historical importance that we, as a people, do not miss this opportunity. I understand that there are both justified and unjustified objections to the question determined by the National Assembly. I also understand that some question the very point of holding such a referendum, since, as they claim, everyone already knows what our people think. But what matters here is the essence," stressed Kovačević, also the SNSD spokesperson.

The essence of the question itself, Kovačević said, is whether we demand respect for the will of our people, or whether we humbly accept the imposed will of foreigners.

"And not only unelected and illegal foreign administrators, whose impositions are contrary to international law, as well as the constitutions and laws of BiH and Republika Srpska," Kovačević posted on "X."

The crux, he added, is also that the whole world will know exactly what our people think – when we express it unanimously and in unity through a democratic referendum.

"NO to Schmidt means YES to SRPSKA!" Kovačević declared.
