SARAJEVO, APRIL 7 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac said that the Council of Ministers today accepted the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations' proposal for BiH to participate in "EXPO 2027" in Belgrade.

Košarac emphasized that the decision by representatives of the "Troika" parties to approve BiH's participation in the EXPO, while rejecting participation in the "Open Balkan" initiative, reflects their inconsistent policies, which he says destroy BiH.

"Whether they are doing this out of fear of the opposition SDA or due to a lack of political credibility, I don't know - but it's clear they are trying to elevate themselves to a level they simply don’t belong in," Košarac told reporters in Sarajevo.

He said that the "Troika" coalition had been a good partner to the SNSD, as they had done everything the SNSD wanted, but now, out of fear of public criticism and in an effort to stay in power, they are trying to mobilize other structures from Republika Srpska that do not represent the will of the people.

"I ignore that kind of politics, but I will not ignore attacks on Republika Srpska or when someone tries to act unlawfully and unconstitutionally on behalf of BiH institutions. We need to return to the Constitution without the imposed reforms of the high representatives, and to agreements between the two entities and three constituent peoples - and that’s something we’ve been saying all along," Košarac said.

Whenever calls for dialogue have come from Republika Srpska, Košarac said, the 'Troika' would have run either to the OHR or the U.S. Embassy to seek solutions that slow down the agreements reached by partners from the Serbian, Croatian, and Bosniak peoples.

He emphasized that everyone is aware of the political autism prevailing within the "Troika", and asked what their policy is, other than servility to international actors and baseless attacks on Republika Srpska.

Košarac, who is also the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, said that almost all decisions at the session were adopted unanimously, which shows that issues supported by and coordinated with Republika Srpska were included in the agenda and approved today.

"I think they’ve finally learned the lesson that they must respect the views of Republika Srpska, and that when those views are respected, there is a chance of passing things in the Council of Ministers," Košarac said.

He added that it was almost comical to hear the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković, advocating for the policy of U.S. President Donald Trump, considering he was, until yesterday, in favor of the former President Joe Biden.

"Why didn’t you say this earlier? What kind of policy is that? Until recently, you respected and swore by Biden, applauded Murphy, and now suddenly you’re for Trump," Košarac said.

He dismissed the claims made by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Edin Forto, that the Council of Ministers is in a caretaking capacity until the Minister of Security is elected, saying that all demagoguery and all types of populism are falling apart.

"Minister Forto said a few days ago that he would request a special session of the Council of Ministers on certain issues, but today he has not spoken and has not asked for any items to be included in the agenda, which indicates the need to ingratiate himself with the political public in BiH, while on the other hand, everything that Republika Srpska wants to do, it does," concluded Košarac.
