KOJIĆ: SULJAGIĆ TRYING TO DIVERT ATTENTION FROM WRONGDOING AT MEMORIAL CENTRE

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, AUGUST 13 /SRNA/ – SNSD MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Milorad Kojić said that the criminal complaint filed by Srebrenica Memorial Centre Director Emir Suljagić against BiH Minister of Finance and Treasury Srđan Amidžić was intended to divert attention from tax evasion and illegal activities at the institution.

In a statement to SRNA, Kojić said Suljagić's move was a classic example of diverting attention from what he described as obvious corruption at the Srebrenica Memorial Centre, which is being investigated by the competent prosecutor's office together with the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior.

He said that Bosniaks sought the complete demonization of the Serb people and were using imposed, unconstitutional provisions by what he called illegitimate Christian Schmidt to attempt to target Serb officials through the judiciary.

According to Kojić, Suljagić's complaint is part of a pattern that Bosniaks use through the judiciary at the BiH level to remove Serb officials.

"This also shows that SNSD officials in the joint institutions are consistently pursuing a policy of protecting the vital national interest of the Serb people, protecting every Serb victim and safeguarding the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska," Kojić said.

Kojić stated that such complaints serve only short-term political purposes and personal promotion.

Suljagić filed a criminal complaint with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH against Amidžić over what he described as suspicion that he had failed to implement decisions of the High Representative concerning the Memorial Centre.

The Bijeljina District Public Prosecutor's Office previously opened a case concerning the operations of the Srebrenica Memorial Centre public institution in 2022 following a report alleging tax and contribution evasion.
