SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – The Prosecutor's Office of BiH told SRNA that the investigation against Milorad Dodik, Radovan Višković and Nenad Stevandić has been dropped after it was determined that there was insufficient evidence to support the criminal charge of "attack on the constitutional order".

In a written response to SRNA's inquiry, the Office for Public Relations stated that the parties involved in the proceedings were notified of the decision in accordance with the law.

"On October 30, an order was issued to halt the investigation against Milorad Dodik, Radovan Višković and Nenad Stevandić," the Office for Public Relations said.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH had earlier launched an investigation against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, Speaker of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandić, and former Prime Minister Radovan Višković after the National Assembly of Srpska, on February 27, adopted a law prohibiting the operation of certain judicial and police institutions of BiH on the territory of Republika Srpska.

That law stipulated that the laws on the Court of BiH, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) would not to be applied or enforced within the territory of Republika Srpska.

On October 18, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted the Law on the Termination of the Validity of Certain Laws, including the Law on Immovable Property Used for the Functioning of Public Authority, the Law on Non-Implementation of Decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court, the Election Law of Republika Srpska, the Law on Non-Implementation of Laws and Prohibition of the Operation of Unconstitutional Institutions of BiH, the Law Amending the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska, and the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Republika Srpska.
