SARAJEVO, MARCH 19 /SRNA/ - SNSD representative in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Milorad Kojić has told SRNA that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH, by introducing new election technologies and selecting the equipment supplier, is only confirming its intention to undermine SNSD's election results.

"We have justified doubts regarding the introduction of election technologies and the irregularities that could potentially occur, namely that through software someone could at a certain moment determine election results, meaning the results would not reflect the will of the citizens expressed in the elections," Kojić said.

He stressed that doubts about the intentions behind introducing new election technologies into the election process in BiH are further fueled by the CEC’s decision to allocate BAM tens of millions for equipment procurement to a bidder that did not submit the most favorable offer.

"I am not going into who had the most favorable bid, but the decision to award the procurement contract to a bidder with a more expensive offer indicates favoritism, which raises suspicion that this could be some kind of arrangement allowing those who manage the election technologies and the server to ultimately influence the results and the true will of the citizens," Kojić concluded.

SNSD announced today that the CEC of BiH, by deciding to select a more expensive bid from a foreign consortium for the procurement of election technologies while rejecting a significantly more favorable offer from a Banja Luka-based company, has once again confirmed that the Commission is a political instrument and an anti-Serb institution.

The statement notes that it is particularly indicative that the offer from a Banja Luka company, which was about BAM 17 million cheaper than the selected bid, was rejected.

The Banja Luka-based company Planet Soft, which leads the consortium that submitted the most favorable bid in this public procurement procedure, assessed that the CEC’s decision to select a more expensive bidder for the procurement of equipment for biometric voter identification and ballot scanning at polling stations is scandalous, unfounded and unlawful
