GOGANOVIĆ: I WILL WRITE TO INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY, HELEZ'S LETTER IS HIS PERSONAL VIEW, NOT POSITION OF MINISTRY OF DEFENSE

EAST SARAJEVO, APRIL 7 /SRNA/ - Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Aleksandar Goganović, told SRNA that in a letter addressed to representatives of the EU Delegation in BiH, NATO Headquarters, EUFOR, and the members of the Peace Implementation Council, Zukan Helez expressed a personal opinion that was not coordinated with the Ministry of Defense.

"Furthermore, colleague Helez did not obtain my approval for the content of the letter, and it is especially dangerous that Helez's personal views do not reflect the multiethnic character of the defense system and that he blamed only one nation for the problems in BiH.

With these one-sided moves, which harm the defense system and the entire BiH, Helez has left me no choice but to send a new letter to the same addresses and explain the situation, which I will do tomorrow," emphasized Goganović.

He stressed that he would do it primarily to protect the joint Armed Forces from Helez's arbitrariness and actions harmful to the defense system, but also to inform the international community of the factual and objective situation.

Goganović pointed out that irresponsible individuals from political Sarajevo persistently call on EUFOR to intervene and spread false claims that security is threatened in BiH, even though the EUFOR commander, the NATO HQ commander in Sarajevo, and the NATO Secretary General have confirmed that BiH is facing a political crisis, not a security one.

"EUFOR reacts in the case of a security crisis, but never in the case of a political crisis, which is the current situation in BiH," Goganović reminded Helez and other political representatives who are spreading falsehoods about the real situation in BiH.
