KOZARSKA DUBICA, APRIL 3 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik emphasized that the most problematic part of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's statement is his claim that the unconstitutional Court of BiH is independent and autonomous, as this is not true, adding that before making such statements, one should first familiarize themselves with the situation.
"If he says something like that, he must first familiarize himself with the situation, rather than assess it in a unitarist manner," Dodik stressed.
The President of Republika Srpska pointed out Rutte's complete lack of knowledge when he said that "Dodik should accept court verdicts."
"If he were in my position, he certainly wouldn't agree. Therefore, I appreciate some of his good intentions, but it might be a good idea for him to get informed about our positions," Dodik told reporters in Kozarska Dubica.
He reminded that the judiciary in BiH lacks a constitutional basis, as neither the Court nor the Prosecutor's Office are foreseen to exist at the BiH level, neither in its constitution nor in the Dayton Agreement.
Dodik reiterated that these institutions were imposed by high representatives who had no right to do so, and now they have started writing laws, which they also have no right to do, especially "the lying Schmidt," based on which Muslim judges in BiH are trying to pass judgment on Serbs.
"If Rutte were to learn this, he would probably speak differently," Dodik believes.
He emphasized that there is no automatic support. "If you agree that an unconstitutional institution has the right to legitimacy, then you have agreed to dismantle the entire constitutional order," Dodik pointed out, adding that it is hard to logically explain some things to Rutte or anyone else.
Dodik reiterated that he agrees with Rutte when he said that the Presidency of BiH should take responsibility in BiH, as stated in the Constitution.
"He is right, but he doesn't know that the Presidency of BiH has been downgraded, and that more importance has been given to the Council of Ministers, which is a subordinate body of the Presidency. If he meant to strengthen it, to restore the powers the Presidency once had, and reduce the Council of Ministers to three ministries, I agree with that," said Dodik.
