SARAJEVO, JUNE 30 /SRNA/ - The Peace Implementation Council /PIC/ is not a Dayton category, and the European path is only possible through internal dialogue, without a protectorate and without the seizure of powers from Republika Srpska, said Milorad Kojić, a member of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
Kojić said that the European path can be a subject of dialogue within the constitutional and legal jurisdictions of the entities and the joint institutions, adding that no EU member state has any form of international intervention.
"What is visible from this inability to reach an agreement throughout June - they had a two-day session, and today we again have some kind of closed session - I think it is time for the OHR to be locked, to be shut down, and for domestic political representatives who participate in government, and why not also those in the opposition who want to be part of a certain process, to agree on the progress of BiH," Kojić told reporters in Sarajevo.
He said that Bosniak politicians constantly promote the idea that European laws should be adopted and that the country should move toward the EU, while at the same time a protectorate continues to exist, and that someone who did not even have the approval of the UN Security Council introduced amendments to the Criminal Code to prosecute the president of Republika Srpska, who respected and implemented a constitutional obligation.
"Christian Schmidt imposed a law and humiliated each of the 42 members of the House of Representatives and the 15 members of the House of Peoples. That is not a European path," Kojić said.
He stressed that the OHR should be abolished and that the European path cannot mean the seizure of constitutional and legal powers belonging to Republika Srpska.
