BANJA LUKA, October 7 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik said that Serbs are not a people to whom the European path can be presented as a template for abolishing Republika Srpska, but that the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Luigi Soreca did not understand this.

Dodik said that Soreca, despite presenting himself as a lawyer, disqualified himself when he described the imposition of laws as the rule of law.

He stressed that Republika Srpska understood that the purported European path was anti-Serb because the desire to dismantle Republika Srpska and create a unitary BiH was concealed under the guise of European integration.

"Therefore, in order for you to talk to us, you must first clean up all the mess you have created and remove all the anomalies you have produced. You must return to the letter of Dayton - we are not interested in its spirit. We are in no hurry. We can wait for the next European Commission because this one has demonstrated absolute incompetence," Dodik wrote on the social network X.

Dodik pointed out that Republika Srpska had long grown tired of hearing worn-out phrases about supposed reforms that needed to be implemented, and that it was even more distasteful to hear lies about building democratic institutions when the will of an individual - a foreigner - is considered institutional action.

"Reform yourselves first! You have made Europe unsuccessful, we want to join the company of the successful. Republika Srpska knows what institutions are and what democracy is - we proved that just the other day. Do you? We know what the will of the people is, and we listen to it. No one in Republika Srpska wants to hear Soreca!" Dodik said.

After the European Commission announced yesterday that it had adopted an important document on the future of EU enlargement, Soreca said, among other things, that the door to EU enlargement remains wide open for BiH and that candidate countries must implement comprehensive reforms in order to join the Union.
