DO NOT RESOLVE THE CURRENT POLITICAL CRISIS THROUGH THE DISTRICT

BRČKO, APRIL 6 /SRNA/ - The SNSD Brčko strongly supports the constitutional solution regarding the district and condemns any attempt to reconsider it or bring it into the context of resolving the current political crisis in BiH, saying that any deviation from the compromise solution or ignoring the principles on which the status of Brčko is based means denying the Constitution of BiH and the Dayton Peace Agreement.

A press release says that this applies to initiatives for the militarization of the Brčko District, regardless of who they come from.

The SNSD reminds that the Final Arbitral Award guarantees the protection of the relevant interests of Republika Srpska, particularly the right to territorial continuity based on the condominium principle, as well as the relevant interests of the Federation of BiH /FBiH/.

This political organization also calls on other political actors in Brčko and beyond to adopt a responsible approach regarding the circumstances in this local community

The Brčko SNSD believes that the political and security situation in the Brčko area is more than stable and provides a good foundation for the engagement of all political entities in terms of implementing projects of general interest for all Brčko citizens, particularly in the areas of economic development and infrastructure construction.
