BANJA LUKA, APRIL 5 /SRNA/ - The Serbian member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, said that Republika Srpska officials act responsibly and in accordance with the Constitution, while the Bosniak political representatives are the ones undermining BiH, calling for conflicts, and raising tensions.

"Foreign policy and defense are two dominant topics. When it comes to defense, decisions must be made by consensus, but we had announcements of attempts to misuse the Armed Forces of BiH. One of these is from the Minister of Defense, who has no jurisdiction," said Cvijanović at the thematic session of the Republika Srpska Government.

She pointed out that her colleagues in the Presidency had also announced this, but they backed down once they realized it was impossible to engage the Armed Forces in any way.

"I am pleased that no one in Republika Srpska has mentioned anything related to war, instability, or provocations. It is troubling that recently we have been faced with numerous statements, such as those made by the Minister of Defense, who must act more responsibly," Cvijanović stated.

She also says that daily provocations from the Federation of BiH are present.

"I was disturbed by the attack on children from Novi Sad in Sarajevo when their heads were smashed with rods. This shows the state of awareness and hatred in Sarajevo. I am proud that there is no such story in Republika Srpska," said Cvijanović.

She says that this refers to Republika Srpska, its leadership, political representatives, and the people as a whole.

"It must remain so, and it is important for each of us. Every citizen of Republika Srpska is welcome. We must not fall for these calls coming from another entity," said Cvijanović.

She says that statements by officials from the Federation of BiH, who appear on shows in camouflage uniforms, are also disturbing.

“This is absolutely unacceptable. In Republika Srpska, there is no room for any crazy idea of someone wearing a camouflage uniform and calling for war,” Cvijanović said.

She also points out that there are calls for the assassination of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, on portals in the Federation of BiH.

"If something like that had happened in Republika Srpska, can you imagine the reaction? Responsibility would surely have been demanded. We have reported such things. Is it possible that you can call for murder in a country, and no one wants to react?" Cvijanović asked.

She added that no one believes anymore in the story that Christian Schmidt had the right to impose laws, which is why now in the Federation of BiH, they are pointing to alleged security threats.

She reiterated that no one will act outside the Constitution when it comes to the engagement of the Armed Forces.

"I am proud of the Republika Srpska Police. I would like to express my support to them. This is not a police force that provokes or says it will act in the other entity," Cvijanović said.

She added that the federal police minister acted differently.

"It is clear that no one can act in the other entity without consent," Cvijanović reiterated.
