CVIJANOVIĆ: SOUTHERN INTERCONNECTION LAW SHOWS PROPERTY OWNERSHIP LIES WITH ENTITIES

BANJA LUKA, MAY 25 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović has stated today that the Federation of BiH adopted the Law on the Southern Interconnection, which states that the investor will not bear the costs of expropriating property owned by municipalities, cantons, entities and public companies, demonstrating that property is owned by the entities.

Cvijanović stressed that the narrative coming from political Sarajevo regarding so-called state property is incorrect, asking why the law itself states that the property belongs to municipalities, cantons, entities and public companies.

"We have entered a phase of confusion, but better solutions must emerge from it", Cvijanović emphasized.

She reminded that previous privatization laws stipulated that an entity could privatize only the property that belonged to it.

"After that came certain decisions that were unfair, unconstitutional and contrary to Dayton, dealing with the issue of freezing property, but things have now become fairly clear", Cvijanović said in a statement to RTRS.
