CVIJANOVIĆ: PERIOD OF DEVELOPMENT AND STABILITY AHEAD OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 28 /SRNA/ – Period of development and economic and political stability is ahead of Republika Srpska, Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović said.

Cvijanović emphasized that Republika Srpska has contacts and ties with the world’s most important countries and that there is already a plan outlining what needs to be done.

"We have already been acting according to that plan, building contacts and creating a network. It is fundamentally important that we have good relations with America, then that we see what will happen with the EU in the future, as it is burdened with many issues, and, of course, that we maintain stable relations with Russia and Israel," Cvijanović emphasized.

She said that Srpska is discussing joint opportunities and projects with its partners.

"The new era that is coming means that we will definitely have to restructure the economy and the administrative organisation," Cvijanović said.

She pointed out that the era of artificial intelligence is arriving, emphasizing that Srpska is already making certain plans and has launched several projects related to technology parks.

"Through our contacts abroad, Republika Srpska has established connections with the strongest scientific and technological institutes in Israel. The investment is around two billion Euros; we want to make use of some of what they already have in operation," Cvijanović told K3 Television, adding that relations are also being established with several research centres in the United States.

Cvijanović said that the lifting of sanctions had created an opportunity for Republika Srpska officials to carry out the work they are currently doing, adding that this opportunity must not be allowed to slip away.

Republika Srpska representatives, she says, have patiently waited for the opportunity for the sanctions to be lifted and had previously established contacts with people identified as good potential interlocutors for the future.

"I was the most prominent figure, but in fact, we are a team that managed to push this through. You can work for Republika Srpska only if you have a strong, good, stable team. If you have an individual who does not even know where s/he headed, you cannot expect any results. SNSD has a strong team, a strong leader, and strong policies that adapt to the times," Cvijanović emphasized.
