CVIJANOVIĆ EXPRESSES SATISFACTION WITH TURNOUT AT TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS RECEPTION

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JANUARY 15 /SRNA/ - Serb Member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović expressed satisfaction with the turnout at the traditional Christmas reception she hosted tonight in East Sarajevo and that she received greetings from US President Donald Trump and American First Lady Melania Trump not only for the New Year, but also for Christmas.

Cvijanović told SRNA that a large number of people attended the reception.

"Traditionally, there are representatives of institutions from the local level, the level of Republika Srpska and the joint level, associations, the diplomatic corps, and representatives of various spheres in society who are always welcome, and I can see by the mood that they are happy to respond," Cvijanović emphasized.

Speaking about the greeting card she received from Donald and Melania Trump, Cvijanović expressed joy that Christmas greetings are reappearing in diplomatic communication, in communication among people who hold the highest positions in states.

"I singled that out and I am particularly pleased. I compared it with previous greetings, which were on the occasion of the New Year, with wishes for successful work, health..., but for Christmas, that is something that is returning to communication and that is why I singled it out, especially since it concerns President Trump," said Cvijanović.

She pointed out that the leadership of Republika Srpska stood and stands by the policy of Donald Trump.

"Greetings are a common thing and they are exchanged regarding the Christmas and New Year holidays. We should build our relations and it was truly an honor and I am happy that I received exactly that card in which not only the New Year but also Christmas is congratulated," said Cvijanović.

Cvijanović congratulated the holidays to all citizens.
