CEC RE-WRITES ELECTION RESULTS ACCORDING TO ITS OWN WILL

VLASENICA, DECEMBER 28 /SRNA/ – The Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH wants to re-write the results of the snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska according to its own will, which is why it decided to repeat the elections at certain polling stations, Miroslav Kraljević, Vlasenica Municipality Mayor, told SRNA.

Kraljević emphasized that Republika Srpska citizens expressed their trust in the SNSD presidential candidate, Siniša Karan, and that it is obvious that his victory does not suit the CEC.

“Such an election outcome did not meet their expectations, which is why they decided to repeat the elections at certain polling stations,” Kraljević stated.

He stressed that the CEC, without any legitimacy, is doing whatever it wants, assessing that all of this is a project planned by those attacking Republika Srpska and its institutions.

“It is a machinery,” Kraljević said.

He adds that pressure will not bring good results to those applying it, noting that during their recent campaign they had unlawfully decided to remove Republika Srpska President, Milorad Dodik, from the political arena.

Kraljević pointed out that it is the democratic right of citizens to elect, but that it is obvious these rights are not being respected and that there is an attempt to reshape the will of the people.

“For a long time there has been pressure against the president of Republika Srpska, people are being removed from the political arena, members of the ruling party, and elections are being undermined. What the people think means nothing to the CEC,” Kraljević said.

He emphasized that such actions unite the Serbs, who will always stand together behind one man - their president, the one chosen by the people.

Snap elections were annulled at certain polling stations in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopare, Ugljevik, Osmaci, Vlasenica, Zvornik, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća, Milići, and Brčko.
