XI: BEIJING READY TO COOPERATE WITH THE MIDDLE EAST

BEIJING, SEPTEMBER 2 /SRNA/ - Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China is ready to cooperate with the Middle East to ensure the security of international maritime routes and eliminate conflict hotspots.

"China is ready to cooperate with all countries in the region to ensure the security of international maritime routes and promote development cooperation," Xi said during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

He added that Beijing is ready to "promote the integration of the interests of the countries in the region, gradually strengthen mutual trust and eliminate conflict hotspots," China Central Television reported.
