WEIDEL: MERZ MORE INTERESTED IN WAR IN UKRAINE THAN IN GERMANY

BERLIN, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ - Co-chair of the Alternative for Germany /AfD/ party Alice Weidel accused German Chancellor Friedrich Merz of being more interested in escalating the conflict in Ukraine than in the domestic affairs of his own country.

"Merz is travelling to Ukraine on German Unity Day and promising additional billions from German taxpayers' money that is lacking in pension and health insurance funds," Weidel wrote on X.

She recalled that the policies of Merz and his governing coalition had plunged the country into its most severe energy crisis.

"All of this is already too much to comprehend," Weidel said.
