WEIDEL CALLS ON BERLIN TO HOLD TALKS TO END UKRAINE CONFLICT

BERLIN, OCTOBER 7 /SRNA/ - Co-chair of the Alternative for Germany /AfD/ Alice Weidel called on the German Government to initiate talks with Ukraine, Russia and the United States to end the conflict in Ukraine.

"Please sit down at the table with the Ukrainians, as well as with the Russians and Americans, in order to end the war in Ukraine," Weidel said in an address to the Bundestag, published on X.

She criticized German foreign policy, saying that such a policy was turning Germany into a target for Russia, and called for a swift negotiated solution instead of continued prolonged confrontation.

Weidel stressed that Europe lacks the diplomatic capacity to resolve the conflict.
