VISITORS HANG UPSIDE DOWN FOR FIVE MINUTES ON RIDE

MUNICH, SEPTEMBER 20 /SRNA/ – Visitors to Oktoberfest in Munich were left hanging upside down for around five minutes on a fairground ride, with the cause of the incident still unknown, DPA reported.

After getting off the ride, several people, mostly younger visitors, complained of mild dizziness and circulatory problems.

Following brief medical checks, all of them returned to the beer festival.

Emergency services said they treated around 600 patients on the first day of the 191st Oktoberfest.

The world's largest beer festival opened on Saturday and will run for 16 days, through October 4.

Visitors can enjoy beer tents, fairground rides, traditional Bavarian food and live music.
