VILNIUS, MAY 19 /SRNA-Reuters/ - A NATO military aircraft shot down a Ukrainian drone in Estonia, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said.
This is the latest in a series of airspace violations in the region bordering Russia.
Since March, several Ukrainian military drones have strayed into the airspace of Alliance members - Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
All of these countries border Russia, and the Latvian government resigned last week over the incursions and public dissatisfaction with its response.
NATO did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
