WASHINGTON, AUGUST 3 /SRNA/ – U.S. President Donald Trump accused the Iranian leadership of hypocrisy, saying they requested talks on ending the war only to later claim publicly that no negotiations were taking place.

"The Iranian leadership is unbelievably hypocritical. They ask for a meeting, talks begin, follow-up meetings are scheduled for the near future, and then they publicly claim that no talks are taking place and that nothing is being negotiated," Trump posted on Truth Social.

He added that Iranian officials continue to claim that Tehran will control the Strait of Hormuz, although, the strait is already under the full control of the U.S. Navy.

"Nothing goes through to Iran unless we want it to, and nothing will get through until an agreement is reached or there is a complete surrender," Trump stressed.

He added that, whether Iran wants to admit it or not, the two sides are indeed discussing a solution to a problem Tehran has been creating for decades.

"It's very simple – Iran will never have nuclear weapons," Trump concluded.
