TRUMP: IRAN BREACHED NUCLEAR AGREEMENT BY ATTACKING VESSEL

NEW YORK, JULY 12 /SRNA/ – US President Donald Trump said Iran had accepted an agreement on Friday under which it would abandon its nuclear program, but shortly afterward carried out an attack on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

"They accepted the deal, which was perfect for us. They gave up their nuclear program. Then they left the room and, within an hour, launched a drone at a ship," Trump told NBC News.

He added that the United States responded to what he described as a breach of the agreement by carrying out heavy overnight bombing strikes on Iran.

The Iranian military said it had fired warning shots at a vessel that attempted to transit the Strait of Hormuz via an unauthorized route and reiterated that the strait remains closed until further notice.
