TRAIN DRIVER KILLED, 80 INJURED IN TRAIN COLLISION

BEDFORD, JUNE 20 /SRNA–RIA Novosti/ – One person was killed and more than 80 were injured in a collision between two trains near Bedford in southern England, the British Transport Police announced.

Police stated that the victim was the driver of one of the trains.

“Thirty-three people were taken to hospital, 11 of whom are in serious condition. Another 56 people were treated for injuries,” the police statement said.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
