THE WEST FAILED TO SUBJUGATE RUSSIA

MOSCOW, JULY 29 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the West believed it would be able to subjugate Russia, but had failed to do so.

According to him, Russia's strength is currently being tested, particularly in the economic sphere.

He stressed that the primary task of Russian political forces was preserving the nation.

"They do not like our country. It is large, strong, proud, self-sufficient and impossible to control," Medvedev said.
