SUPPORT FOR TRUMP GROWING IN THE US

WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 15 /SRNA/ - Support for US President Donald Trump is rising from a previous record low, according to the results of a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

According to the four-day poll, 63 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump's offer, made during the Republican Party Convention, to ensure that all US citizens receive $5,000 if Republicans retain control of Congress in the November elections.

A total of 1,143 Americans were surveyed, with a margin of error of about three percentage points.

The poll showed that around 35 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s performance in the White House, up from August, when his approval rating stood at a career low of 33 percent.

Trump’s popularity has been declining since the conflict in Iran began in February, disrupting oil supplies from the Middle East and causing a record surge in energy prices.
