RUBIO: PROGRESS MADE IN TALKS ON THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

WASHINGTON, AUGUST 4 /SRNA-Reuters/ - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that progress has been made in talks with Iran and Oman regarding allowing a larger number of ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and that he hopes a peace agreement will be reached soon.

"Progress has been made in the talks, but a final agreement has not yet been reached. We hope that this will happen very soon," Rubio told reporters at the State Department.

US President Donald Trump announced yesterday that negotiations are underway and that this is Tehran's last chance to reach a good deal.
