RUBIO: GOOD CHANCE OF REACHING AGREEMENT ON HORMUZ STRAIT

WASHINGTON, MAY 25 /TASS/ - Washington has a good chance of reaching an agreement with Tehran on the Hormuz Strait issue and of launching talks on Iran's nuclear program, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

"We have what I think is a pretty solid thing on the table in terms of their ability to open up the straits and to enter into a very real, significant, time-limited negotiation on the nuclear matters. Hopefully, we can pull it out," he noted.

Earlier, Rubio said in an interview with The New York Times that the US was waiting for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, and after that, Washington would be ready to discuss nuclear issues with Tehran.
