RECORD 41.2 DEGREES MEASURED

VIENNA, AUGUST 5 /SRNA-Reuters/ - A record temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius was measured in Austria in the town of Bad Deutsch-Altenburg, near the border with Slovakia, the national meteorological service announced.

The previous record of 41 degrees was set yesterday in Vienna.

The heat wave that encompassed Western Europe last week, primarily Spain and France, has now moved to the countries of Central and Southeastern Europe.
