PUTIN: FULFILLING SOCIAL OBLIGATIONS IS STATE BUDGET'S PRIORITY

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 17 /SRNA/ - Fulfilling social obligations and ensuring Russia's security and defense capabilities must be priorities of the state budget, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

At a meeting devoted to economic issues, Putin said it was important to preserve the role of the state budget as the main instrument for achieving national development goals.

"The Government is currently finalizing the socio-economic development forecast for 2027–2029. It will serve as the basis for the budget — the country's key financial document for the next three-year period. Work is also actively underway on the draft budget, in accordance with the established schedule," Putin said.
