THESSALONIKI, AUGUST 15 /SRNA/ - Investigators from the US National Transportation Safety Board have determined that the accident in which Serbian citizen Ljubiša Karović was injured last month was caused by engine parts that shattered a passenger cabin window of a "Ryanair" aircraft.

In its preliminary report, the Board stated that the accident occurred after an engine propeller blade broke shortly after the plane took off on a flight from Greece to Germany on July 10, during which that part of the propeller detached and shattered the window next to where Karović was sitting, the "BBC" reports.

Serbian citizen Ljubiša Karović had his head and right shoulder pulled out through the plane window, leaving him seriously injured and in a state of shock.
