STOCKHOLM, OCTOBER 6 /SRNA/ - Swedish police shot and wounded an armed man at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, police said.
Officers opened fire on the man, who was taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition, according to a police statement.
Police said there was no danger to the public, German news agency DPA reported.
Officers had been called to the scene following reports of an armed man behaving aggressively.
The Royal Palace in central Stockholm is the official residence of Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf and a major tourist attraction.
