POLICE RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT POSSIBLE ATTACK ON PRIME AND DEFENCE MINISTERS

WARSAW, OCTOBER 11 /SRNA–Reuters/ – Polish police have received information about a possible attack targeting Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Władyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, Interior Ministry spokesperson Karolina Galecka said.

Galecka posted on X that, following the information received, Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński and Minister-Coordinator of the Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak had ordered urgent measures to be taken in response.

She announced an emergency meeting for today at the Counterterrorism Centre of the Internal Security Agency /ABW/.

The announcement came as Polish authorities remain on high alert following a wave of violence in schools that resulted in the death of a school caretaker on Thursday, October 8.
